Dear Julia,
I am working on a power plant in Tulsa. Jackie let me know that we lost Don. Whenever I come up against a difficult engineering problem I think of the many that Don solved, and the class that he showed while working on them. I think of him often. May God comfort you in this time of loss.

Julia,Bobby and I will always love and appreciate you and Don. You both have been such an inspiration to Bobby and I. I did not attend the service as I am still hacking and coughing. I would not want to infect anyone with the East Texas crude or what ever variation i have. I am sorry for Don's passing. Julia, I will never forget when you and Don were just sweethearts so many years ago. I praise God today for a loving and faithful marriage relaionship that you were a part of and the fine testimony of the two of you. Don was an excellent husand, provider, father and minister in his daily walk with our Lord.
