Donald E. Porter's Obituary
Funeral services for Donald E. Porter, age 71 of Gladewater, will be held Monday January 17, 2011 at 2pm in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Henderson with the Rev. Bill Everett officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery with Military Honors.
Mr. Porter died Thursday, January 13, 2011 in a Longview Hospital.
Donald Porter was born November 4, 1939 to Norris and Geneva Propes Porter. He was a self employed truck driver and rig builder. He was a veteran having served in the U.S Navy on the submarine the USS Rock. Mr. Porter was a member of the Roquemore Missionary Baptist Church..
He is survived by his wife Barbara Porter of Gladewater; sons Ricky Seymour & wife Cavelyn of Gilmer, Robert ?Bo? Delaney & wife Jane of West Mountain: daughters Terrie Johnson of San Francisco, CA, Patricia Ingram & husband Thomas of Gilmer, Shirley Simms & husband Alan of Gladewater, Karen Murchison & husband Charles of Gilmer, Darla Porter & Keith Hess of Gladewater; sisters Pat Porter Casterline and Carolyn Parker & husband Larry all of Henderson. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 2 ~ 4pm Sunday
