Donald James Conoly's Obituary
Donald James Conoly was born May 26, 1941, five hours before his twin brother Ronald Owen Conoly in Dallas, TX, to parents Owen J. Conoly, Jr. and Alice Aline Thomas Conoly.
Mr. Conoly was preceded in death by his twin brother Ronald Owen Conoly, his son Wesley Owen Conoly, his daughter Donna A. Paquette, and his mother and father.
Conoly graduated St. Thomas Catholic School in Dallas and received his college degree from Alaska University through the Ft. Richardson Education Center in Anchorage, Alaska.
Having served over six years in the US Army holding the rank of Sgt. E5, Conoly twice received the Good Conduct Medal, while also receiving a National Defense Medal, and Overseas Service Medal as well as a Unit Citation award in 1961.
Conoly was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church of Longview. Conoly was also a member of the Marshall Elks Lodge, having served two years as a chaplain and two years as a club trustee, a member of both the American Legion and VFW of Marshall, and also the Elks Lodge of Longview.
Mr. Conoly is survived by his wife Dianne M. Conoly of Longview, stepdaughter Stephanie Ballard of Nacogdoches, Nicholas Ballard, US Navy – Jacksonville, FL, granddaughters Jessica Paquett and Giana Nichole Ballard, as Well as two nephews, four great-nephews, and one great-niece.
Mr. Conoly worked for RCA, GE, and AT&T as a senior field Engineer and 7 years as a driver for Sabine Valley Center in Longview.
