i am so sorry for your loss. don will always be remembered as a wonderful man who was always enthusiastic about life and as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. i am so glad i got to know him and i have always admired his passion for life and for his
family. i am so thankful that my daughter, elizabeth, had don as her father-in-law. he treated her like she was his own blood daughter. i am so very thankful that our grandchildren, alyssa and michael, had him as their loving, thoughtful, kind, and
supportive grandfather. i am thankful for the beautiful role model don was for his son, cary, who like his father, is a very loving husband and father, uncle and son-in-law. it was a privilege to know don. i will always be grateful for the love and devotion he showered on our family.

I am so sad to hear about the passing of Don. I was lucky to spend many days in Iceland with “Uncle Don” and my Dad on a trip back in 2017. We laughed, ate weird food and marveled in the beauty of Iceland. I will never forget our marvelous Lobster soup that we shared together in Hofn, Iceland! Don was a one of a kind. I was so sorry to read this. Don was a real gentleman. I worked with him for over 12 Longview Manufacturing. My prayers are for Jolene and his family. He will be missed and remembered fondly by many.

I always enjoyed speaking to Don. He had a wonderful sense of humor, had so many passions and loved his family dearly. He was a bright light and a very interesting man that enjoyed sharing share his experiences and had a way of engaging you in whatever he was discussing. The way he saw the world was beautiful as revealed through his photography. When you would see Don and Jolene together, you could just feel the confidence and comfort of a strong, healthy, and positive relationship. He was fun and engaging with Michael and Alyssa and treated Elizabeth as if she were his own. Don's remarkable examples of relationships, diligence, honor, and strength carried on to Cary, who never showed anything but reverence for his dad. I feel for those who are left behind, because I know what a strong impact Don made, but I know that those who knew him were better off. Jolene, my heart goes out to you. All my prayers and you know that in this next chapter you will never really be alone. God Bless all of you.
