Don Ray Vinson's Obituary
Funeral Services for Don Ray Vinson, age 72 of Henderson, will be held Wednesday April 2, 2008 at 4:00pm at the First Baptist Church of Crims Chapel with Rev. Jared Burt and Rev. Michael Postell officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mr. Vinson passed away Monday March 31, 2008 in Tyler.
Don Ray Vinson was born April 13, 1935 in New London, and was a lifelong resident of Rusk County. He was a graduate of London High School , where he served on the Ex Student Association Board. Mr. Vinson retired from Texas Eastman where he worked in the storage and receiving dept. He was a member of the Crims Chapel Volunteer Fire Dept., and served on the Crims Chapel Water Board. He was also on the London Museum Board, and was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Crims Chapel..
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond & Alyene Vinson.
He survived by his wife Robbie Vinson of Henderson, sons Danny Vinson & wife Brenda of Corinth, Texas, and Mark Vinson of Longview. He also survived by step daughter Connie Orr of Lubbock, and step son Lee Watson & wife Cindy of Fort Polk, La, brothers Melvin Vinson of Dallas, Charles Vinson & wife Sue of Lufkin, Ronnie Vinson & wife Janice of Friendswood, and Jerry Vinson & wife Penny of New London, sisters
Mary Beth Lee & Husband Charles of Mt. Enterprise, Dianne & Jerry Seilhan of Henderson, 3 granddaughters Lillian, Evelyn and Emily Vinson all of Corinth, step grandchildren Travis, Preston, and Dalton Orr, Amanda, Emily, Breanna, and Brooke Watson, also very special friend Marlon Reagan, numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Chris Vinson, Dean Vinson, Marvin Vinson, Brad Vinson, Michael Vaniel, and Marlon Reagan. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Christian, D.M. Hearne, Chuck Johnson and members of the Crims Chapel Volunteer Fire Dept..
The Family will meet friends from 6pm – 8pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home,
