Don Jones' Obituary
Memorial services for Don Jones, 59, of Longview will be held 2 PM Wednesday, October 31, 2001 at Winterfield United Methodist Church with Rev. Ed Barlow officiating. Private family burial will be in Rosewood Park. Under direction of Rader Funeral Home.
Mr. Jones died Monday at his home, after battling cancer.
Born June l, 1942 in Harleton, Texas, he was a lifetime area resident. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1960 and then from Southern Methodist University. Mr. Jones was a member of Winterfield United Methodist Church and was a real estate broker, owning Don Jones and Associates. He was associated with the Longview Board of Realtors and served as President in 1978. He was a former Jaycee and was currently a member of the Judson Lions Club, the East Texas Fly fishing Club and Pinecrest Country Club.
He loved to travel, fish, golf and spend time with his precious grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Jones in 1962.
Survivors include his wife, Gale; sons and daughters-in-law: Chris and Michelle Jones of Longview; Craig and Stacy Jones of Santa Fe, Texas. His mother, Lois Mae Jones Smith of Longview and four grandchildren: Abbey, Andy and Adam Jones of Longview and Morgan Jones of Santa Fe.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Winterfield United Methodist Church Building Fund.
