Dolores Decker Vermeer's Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Dolores Decker Vermeer, age 77 of Henderson, will be held at 10:00am Thursday November 6, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Brock and Rev. Bob Lacquement officiating . Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery
Mrs. Vermeer died Monday November 3, 2008 at Henderson Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Dolores was born February 19, 1931 in Midland and was a long time member and active volunteer at Tyler Road Baptist Church, an avid reader, a fantastic cook, and loved spending Sunday afternoons surrounded by her family and her Dachshund, Cleo.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard James & Amy Elizabeth Young Scogins and her eldest son, Leonard Decker.
She is survived by her husband Arnold Vermeer, daughter Elizabeth Maines & husband Barry, sons Michael Decker, Bobby Decker & wife Caprice, Billy Decker & wife Leigh, and step son Arnold B. Vermeer & wife Linda, grandchildren Amee and Steve Snapp, Chris Linton, Bryan, Sara, Hillary, Zack, Collin Decker, Spc C. J. Grimm and Brady Vermeer; nieces Donna Flowers and Tammy Malloy and great-grandson Colby Linton.
Pallbearers will be Chris Linton, Bryan Decker, Zack Decker, Spc C. J. Grimm, Brady Vermeer, and George Stanley.
The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 5pm – 7pm Wednesday night.
