Graveside services for Dimple Kemp, 95, of Longview will be held at Two O?clock pm Wednesday February 16, 2005 at the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Athens, TX. with Reverend Jerry Williams officiating under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Kemp passed away Monday February 14, 2005 in Longview.
She was born November 7, 1909 in Erath County near Stephenville, Texas to William Avery and Lamora Huckabee. She attended Tarleton State College there after attending North Texas State at Denton. She taught school in Tarrant, Mason and Hutchison counties. She was a Christian and participated in church activities every where she made home. Parent-Teachers interest kept her involved in the education of children where she held various offices in the work.
She is survived by her sister, Loquet Van Winkle of Crowley, TX.; daughter-in-law, Hattie L. Kemp of Longview, TX.; two granddaughters, Ashley Kemp Cunningham, Tracie R. Kemp, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul M. Kemp, son, Thomas Raiford Kemp, sister, Claudia Maxey.
