Dillia M. Gibson
Funeral services for Dillia M. Gibson, 95, of Longview were held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2005 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with the Reverend Jonathan Jehorek officiating. Burial was be in Memory Park Cemetery. She passed away Friday, April 8, at the Serenity Place in Big Sandy, TX.
Mrs. Gibson was born July 26, 1909 in Electra, TX., to Joe and Maudie Rogers Woods. She was an avid bridge player and a member of the National Duplicate Bridge Association, a Bronze Life Master Bridge Player, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Longview.
She was preceded in death by her husband John T. Gibson, her parents, a brother, and grandson, Matt Gibson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Russ Adams of Boston, Massachusetts; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Jane Gibson of Longview; 3 grandchildren, Rick Adams of Denver, CO., Lori Robinson of Red Oak, TX., and Jay Albrecht of Houston; 5 great grandchildren; and 2 nieces.
