Diane McFarland Taylor's Obituary
Diane (Di) McFarland Taylor went to her forever home on February 14,2025. She was 69 years old.
Di was born in Longview Texas on July 30, 1955 to Don Hall and Mary Frances McFarland.
Di graduated from Longview High School in 1973. She attended Kilgore College and Texas Tech University, majoring in Art. She received her Master’s degree in Art Education from Stephen F Austin State University. She taught Art at Longview High School and taught Art for 25 years in both Sheldon ISD and Huffman ISD.
She is survived by her sister, Donna Frances McFarland, her brother, Matthew Chapman McFarland, and wife Kathy. She dearly loved her nephew, Jordan Chapman McFarland, his wife Megan, and her niece, Emma Caroline McFarland.
She adored her great nephew, Luke McFarland and precious great niece, Maggie McFarland. She is also survived by loving cousins Claudia Hennig, Mary Jo Walker, Jeff Chapman, and their children and grandchildren.
God blessed Di with many gifts, one being her passion working with different mediums as an artist. She shared her gift with everyone. She will be remembered for her love of dogs, artistic talents, generosity, big heart, humor and her love for others. Her favorite quote was by Pablo Picasso. “Your goal in life is to find your gift. You mission in life is to give it away.”

Visitation will be Thursday, February 27 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview from 5:00-7:00 PM. Her service will be Friday, February 28 at Rader Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 AM...
There will be a brief graveside gathering at Memory Park Cemetery at 2823 E. Marshall in Longview.
A Celebration of Life service will also be held in Humble, Texas on March 8,2025 at 11:00 AM at Lake Houston Church of Christ- 8003 Farmingham Rd. Humble, Tx. 77346.
