Dezzie Dillon Walker passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the age of 98. She was born on September 17, 1915 near Leesville, Louisiana to John and Celia Dillon. The family moved to Upshur County, Texas and she attended school Read Obituary
Our family attended Valley View Baptist church when our 3 boys were small. We also kept foster children at the time. Ms. Walker was teacher for all 3 sons and for some of the foster children. I remember so fondly walking them to the door of her classroom. She always had such a loving welcoming smile on her face for each of them. They all loved her. God gave her a special way with children, and we are grateful for what she gave to them.

Our thughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Dezzie was one of the many pesons who visiited my Mother (Elma Covin) on a regular basis during her stay at Highland Piesin Longview . The family will always remember her for that special care and kindness.
