Oh so many memories. As a young married couple Dr.McDonald was always encouraging. One Saturday night he had to meet us at the emergency room as Homer had a terrible pain in his ear,he had been building us a privacy fence, and his words to Homer were Homer I had better not have been called at midnight to wash your ears out! After several washings out came a big black snap bug. Dr. Was amazed as he had not been able to see it. There is a long list of craziness for our family but the warmth and carrying your Dad gave to so many should fill you all with joy as the legacy he left you is unending. May the Lord lighten your sorrow at giving him up.

I met Dr. McDonald while working for a drug company. Very rarely did we talk about the medicines I had, (he was very well read). We always talked about life in general, and I always left with the warmest feeling I ever felt after visiting with someone. His intelligence ,demeanor, and total compassion / caring approach to medicine and people, was very evident. I always left feeling very fulfilled, having visited with such a truly genuine man. He would see ALOT of people everyday, even into his mid to late eighties, all of whom were treated like the only one he would see that day.

Dr. McDonald was my mother's doctor for most of her adult life. She was a nurse that frequently would have professional contact with him, however, they were also friends. One of their ongoing rituals that my mother loved was their yearly wager of $1.00 on the Texas and A&M game at Thanksgiving. He was a sweet, kind man who will not be forgotten as long as anyone lives who knew him. Prayers of comfort to his family.

My mom worked for Dr. McDonald for many years as his Nurse. I also got to answer the phones during my teenage years. Dr. McDonald called me a Money Bags. And I loved the bubble gum he had as a treat for his patients. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. RIP!

I have very fond memories of Dr McDonald! His medical office had a very relaxed atmosphere that meant a lot to me as a child having to visit the doctor. His family sat near the same place my family sat at church on Sundays. I am happy he lived such a long, prosperous life. I know he will be missed!
