Graveside services celebrating the life of Dessie Marie Willis will be held at 11:00 am Friday April 22, at the Old White Oak Cemetery in White Oak, Texas, with the Rev Mike Schutz of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Mrs. Willis passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011 in a Longview hospital. Services are under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Dessie was born December 1, 1931 in Waveland, Yell County, Arkansas to Thomas D. and Mary L. Nelms. She was a graduate of Gladewater High School and a lifelong resident of Gregg County. She was preceded in death by her two sisters and one brother as well as her former husband's Travis Rieger and Nolan Willis.
She is survived by her daughter Tina Bush of Longview, Texas and her son Randall Rieger of Kingwood, Texas as well as four grandchildren Melanie Rieger, Christopher Rieger, Garrett Bush and Kaitlin Bush.
