Dennis Wayne Griffin
Services for Dennis Wayne Griffin, 68, of Longview will be 2:00 PM Monday, August 18, 2003 at the First Baptist Church of Longview with Rev. Tim Watson and Rev. Dewayne Beaty officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Park Cemetery.
Mr. Griffin was born October 27, 1934 in Longview and was reared in Rodessa, Louisiana and Atlanta, Texas. He died Thursday, August 14, 2003 in Longview.
He was a graduate of Louisiana Tech with a degree in Accounting and was retired from LeTourneau, Inc. He was a 33 year member of the First Baptist Church of Longview where he served as both an usher and a deacon.
Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Margaret Griffin and his stepmother, Mary Griffin. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Elizabeth Ann Griffin; his daughter Lynne Griffin Wendlalndt and son-in-law, Steven Daniel Wendlandt. Other survivors include his brother Kenneth Mack Griffin and wife Karen; his nephews, John and David; nieces, Amy and Cindy and many other extended family members. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his family, a host of friends, and his devoted dog, Buddy.
Pallbearers will be James Bass, Chuck Bellatti, Bill Collins, David Dunlap, Kenneth Griffin, Leroy Hafner, Bob Houston, Chuck Phillips, Ron Scott, and Steve Wendlandt.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd, Longview, Texas from 3:00 to 4:30 PM Sunday, August 17, 2003.
