Dennis Sherman Reid's Obituary
HALLSVILLE — Dennis Sherman Reid, 66, of Hallsville went to be with his Lord on Wednesday May 23rd. He was born December 9, 1951 in Columbia, South Carolina to Roy Reid and Thelma McNeil Reid. We know there was a grand reunion in Heaven with them as his Savior ushered him home.
Growing up in Greenville, Mississippi and Marshall, Texas; “Denny” leaves a lot of family and friends in both. He had recently retired from Laughlin Electric where he enjoyed working with his life-long friend and owner Gary Laughlin. Never one to pass up a good conversation and always carrying a smile, he was a very caring person willing to help any and every one.
Denny never had children of his own, but was an extraordinary Uncle to all of his nieces and nephews and also to their children. He is survived by his siblings: Mike Reid and wife Glenda of Rockwall, Anitra and recently departed husband Rick Riddle of Longview, Brenda Green and husband Terry of Longview, Linda Collier and husband James of Rockwall, and Kenneth Reid and wife Tamara of Sherman.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
