Memorial graveside services for Dennis Lee Groomer, 74, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Grace Hill Cemetery with Herman Burrough officiating. Cremation and burial arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He passed away Friday, September 18, 2009 in Bossier City, LA.
Mr. Groomer was born November 2, 1934 in Oklahoma City to Roy Lee and Juanita Groomer and had been a resident of Longview for the past 35 years. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean war and was the recipient of various metals and awards. He was a member of the V.F.W and the Church of Christ
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Denise Leon of Savannah, GA, Tamara Frazier of Longview, Sherra Stanton of Plano, and Rhonda Acker of The Woodlands; grandchildren, Jennifer, Dennis Allen, Jess, Juston, Christine and Hannah; 1 great grandson, Jacob Ryan; sisters, Elaine Pettijean, LaDell Bolich and Charlotte Burrough; and several nieces and nephews.
