Funeral services for Denise Carol Powers, 52, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Tim Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Park Cemetery. She passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014, in a Longview hospital.
Mrs. Powers was born February 15, 1961 in Longview to Roy and Evelyn Whitehurst. She was co-owner of Art’s Air Conditioning Co. in Longview and attended Valley View Baptist Church.
Denise was preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Whitehurst.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Arthur “Art” Powers; daughters, Amanda Farmer and husband Tim Heashe, Jessica Brewster and husband Wymon, and Kristina Woods and husband Sean; parents, Roy and Evelyn Whitehurst; brother, Larry Whitehurst and wife Melinda; and sister, Linda Whitehurst; grandchildren, T.J. Heashe, Chloe Hayes, Addison Woods, Luke Woods, and Jaxson Brewster.
