Denise Folzenlogen Burgett's Obituary
Rite of Christian Burial for Denise Folzenlogen Burgett, 47, of Scottsville, will be 10 AM Thursday at Saint Mary?s Catholic Church with Father Gavin Vaverek officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home, Longview.
The family will greet friends Wednesday, July 7, from 6 to 7 PM at Rader Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Denise went to be with her Lord on Tuesday at a local hospital
A native of Longview, she was born November 22, 1962. Denise graduated form St. Mary?s Catholic School, Longview High and from Stephen F. Austin University. She was a longtime LISD kindergarten teacher with the majority of the time at Valley View. Her passion in life was her teaching job and her students whom she loved. She hated to see the school year end and couldn?t wait for the new year to begin. She also loved to cook for family, friends and her students. Her LISD friends and mutual support group were as close as any family.
Denise is survived by her beloved son Dennis Dean Davis, husband Chuck Burgett, parents Jeanie and Paul Folzenlogen, brother Chris Folzenlogen , sister Michelle Osburg and husband Brad and their childrenTristan, Emma and Avery, brother Robert Folzenlogen and wife Jennifer plus their daughter Josie, grandmother and godmother, Josephine Mikeska, many aunts, uncles, cousins and very dear friends. Preceding her in death were her two infant brothers and brother Jonathan, grandfather Marvin Mikeska and grandparents Christine and Michael Folzenlogen.
Pall bearers will be Brian, David, Michael, Marvin and Richard Mikeska and Mark Jackson.
