Delores Ann Haskins 's Obituary
Delores Ann Haskins, 72, a wonderful mother, grandmother and special friend, was called home by her Savior, Sunday evening, December 15th, 2013, after a short illness. We know at this very moment the angels in Heaven are rejoicing but those left to carry on will never be the same.
A celebration of her life will be at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, December 19th at the Ministry Church with Pastor/Evangelist Darlene Matthews officiating. Graveside services will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery in Longview.
Delores was born August 28, 1941, in Longview, TX. She was raised by her grandparents after her mother died at a young age. She married her sweetheart Gene Haskins at the age of sixteen and became a homemaker. She and Gene were blessed with four children: Larry, Cheryl, Michael and Gina. She dearly loved her family and her friends. She was a faithful member of the Ministry Church in Longview, TX, and loved the Father with all her heart.
Delores was preceded in death by her grandparents Reuben and Annie Lee, her mother Dorothy Clinton, and Gene Haskins, her husband of 51 years whom she loved so much. She is survived by her son Larry Haskins, her daughter Cheryl Kelly and fiancé Donald Davidson, her daughter and son in law Gina and Todd Wehunt, all of Longview, as well as her son Michael Haskins of College Station; her grandchildren Brandy Haskins, Zachary Wallace and his wife Ashley, and Kaitlyn Kelly all of Longview; and her great grandchildren Kyler and Silver Little and Ayden Wallace of Longview.
The family would like to thank Pastor Darlene Matthews, the members of the Ministry Church, the doctors and nurses who fought for her life, all the special friends who have been in Delores= life and those who stood by our side during her illness.
Pallbearers will be Terry Timmons, Scott Morrison, Donald Davidson, Bobby Young, James Mathis and Johnny Bozman.
Family visitation will be held Wednesday, December 18th at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, from 6 to 8 PM.
