Debra Kay Harvey McFarland was born on March 14, 1954 in Longview, Texas, to John H. Harvey and Cletha Nell Mickey Gamblin. She passed away peacefully at her residence, Monday, April 06, 2009.
Her funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 4:00pm in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel, 1617 Judson Road, Longview, Texas with Pastor Brian Shobert officiating. Family visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home at 3:00pm. Cremation to follow.
She was a graduate of Pine Tree High School in 1972 and attended Western Texas College in Snyder, Texas. Deby became a Christian at a young age. She worked in many areas of business throughout the years, but most people knew her as a loving, caring, supportive "Mom" of many adolescents in her lifetime. Deby never met a stranger and was friends with everyone who knew her.
Deby was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband, Mike McFarland of Longview, her loving children; a son Damon McFarland of Longview, a daughter Lesli and her husband Aaron McKenzie of Longview, and two grandsons who were the light of her life Hunter Hudgens and Kade McKenzie. Also surviving is her brother Johnny and wife Connie Harvey; her maternal grandmother Irene Chumley, and her favorite nephews John Paul and wife Michelle Harvey, and Shaun Harvey of Longview. Other survivors include her in-laws Walt and Dortha Matthews of Longview; brother-in-laws Larry and wife Karen McFarland of Mansfield, Texas; and Allan McFarland of Beaumont, Texas; and favorite nieces Amy White and Mandy Daigle.
The family has requested any memorials or contributions be made in her name to your favorite charity due to cremation.
