Debra Duke's Obituary
Debra Ann Burks Duke passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, surrounded by her family in White Oak, TX. She was born in Longview, TX on November 16, 1957, to Billy Joe and Nancy Tuttle Burks.
Debra is survived by: daughter Robbie Smith White and husband Daniel; daughter Destiny Duke Fahrenbruck and husband Tyler; son Clayton Duke; grandsons Hudson and Kelly Arnn; mother Nancy Tuttle Burks; half-brother Joe Clifton Burks; brother Bruce Burks; brother Douglas Burks; brother David Burks and wife Karen; nephew Billy Royce Burks and fiancé Rebecca Bross; niece Miranda Burks; niece Bethany Burks: nephew Austin Burks; friend and father of her children Charles Duke; and dear friends Beverly Carpenter and Libby McGilberry.
Debra was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lewis Smith; her brother Kelly Patrick Burks and her father Billy Joe Burks.
Being the only girl with so many brothers, Debra had natural leadership qualities and was very competitive. She loved to paint, sew, garden, rockhound and listen to music. Additionally she was a champion spades, canasta, bunco and 42 dominos player.
There will be a visitation on Sunday September 25 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview from 6 – 8 pm and a graveside service will be at 10 am on Monday September 26 at the White Oak Cemetery (old).
