Deborah "Grace" Bell's Obituary
Deborah ‘Grace’ Bell, 62, went to her heavenly home, on
May 19th, 2023.
Grace was born on March 14th, 1961, to the late John Peter Olshove and Barbara Rose Behr Olshove in Port Huron, Michigan. She was the oldest of 5 children.1 girl, Kris; 3 boys, Johnny, Fred, and Bob. Grace graduated from Port Huron High School in 1979.
In 1985 she relocated to Crosby, TX until she met…. the love of her life, Dennis Bell. Grace married Dennis Bell on October 18,1986 in Longview, Texas, where they remained.
Grace loved many things, but most of all her children. Over the years Grace had several jobs……from banks, customer service, waitressing, home health care, to designing cakes. No matter what job she was currently pursuing, she always made time to “ go to the river”. The water was always ice cold, just how she liked it.
Grace had numerous hobbies and was always crafting something: “decoupaging” boxes, painting rocks, sewing, just to name a few…but one of her most favorite hobbies was cooking. She could cook anything she could get the ingredients for.
Grace was always so fond of the peacocks that dad had over the years and insisted on naming them all “jack” and at times had several “bouquets” of beautiful peacock feathers throughout the house.
Although she only had one grandson, Brayden, he was the shining light in her world and she let him do whatever grandma said was okay. Dessert before dinner? YOU BET! Candy on the stops at the gas station, to get scratch offs? Heck yeah! She left a deep imprint on us all and we will continue to let her live on in our lives in the way we seem fit.
Grace leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband, Dennis; 2 children, John & Christine; 1 grandchild, Brayden; sisters and brothers Kris,Johnny,Fred & Bob, cousins, uncles, aunts, friends and family.
“to know her was to love her.”
