DeAnne Lynette Norton's Obituary
It is with sadness that the family of DeAnne “DeDe” Lynette Norton announced her passing on Friday, March 18, 2022 at the young age of 53, while battling covid.
Preceded in passing by her Father Roger Holloway and much beloved Grandmother Theresa Lyle.
DeDe was born on February 21, 1969 in Wharton, Texas. The daughter of Patricia “Patti” and stepdad Paul Johnson; father Roger Holloway; brother Scott Stavinoha and wife Erin; nephews Jack and Reid; brother Brandon Holloway; stepsister Brandy French and husband Todd; nephew Leighton, nieces Taylor and Sadie.
DeDe will be lovingly remembered by her husband Richard “Pop Pop” Norton; daughter Kayla Camp and husband Daniel; son William “Billy” Norton and wife Aisha; son Kasey Norton and wife Barbara “Bee Bee,”and Jacob Lloyd who was like a one of her sons.
DeDe was the Proud “Nana” of her grankids Olivia and Grayson Camp, Bantley and Bryson Norton, Skylar “Sky” and Dean Norton; aunts and uncles Bertie and Jim Teague, David and Linda Lyle, Paula and Richard Bricker, Ellen and Mike Carnesecca, Ricky and Darlene Lyle, Terry and Terri Lyle, Michelle “MiMi” and Scott Riggs; and families with many cousins.
DeDe loved her family and had an amazing sense of humor. She had the most wonderful smile and brightened everyday with it. She had a loving, a kind and tender heart with feelings that could be hurt easily and was very forgiving. Sometimes even a hot temper but was most often the first to apologize. She loved anything to do with family, parties, beaches, fishing, ballgames, exercise, reminiscing, Christmas especially, holidays and birthdays.
DeDe loved her soaps, The Waltons, and Little House on the Prairie. She loved visiting her aunt Michelle “MiMi,” her grandmother Theresa, her mother Patti and wished to visit her aunts and uncles. She loved Christmas most because she loved seeing all her family together in one place, her grandmother’s home. She loved being with her grandmother. She loved gardening, flowers, and roses. She loved shopping for her grandbabies “shopping in general” and gift giving. She loved being pampered and loved all animals and especially loved her dogs, cats, and rabbits. She loved hugs, kisses and gave them freely to all her grandkids. She loved warm blankets, campfires, music of all kinds, eating out, butterflies and honeybees. Most of all she loved her family and friends. When they hurt, she hurt, when they laughed, she laughed. She was a very compassionate girl and was always young at heart.
DeDe and Kayla were like two peas in a pod, a couple of twinkies, partners in crime. They shared their lives closely, always sharing laughs and tears together.
She will be desperately missed by all of us left behind as she walks with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To be loved by her was to be truly blessed.
