Dawn Christine Sauceda's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dawn Christine Sauceda on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at her home in Longview, Texas. Born on April 9, 1952, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she was a devoted mother and loving grandmother.
Dawn was a devout follower of Christ with a passion for serving others. As a daughter of Baptist missionaries who lived and worked in Mexico, Dawn grew up bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish, which she used to faithfully teach others about Christ throughout her lifetime. She was a registered nurse for over 30 years, spending much of that time working in the emergency room at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.
Our mother Dawn was known for being hardworking, kind, compassionate, and selfless. She had a quiet strength and inner resilience that could only come from her faith. She bravely battled ovarian cancer for three years until the Lord finally called her home. She is survived by her three children, Jonathan, Jennifer, and Cristy Sauceda, her four grandchildren, Esther, Caroline, Winnie, and Javier Sauceda, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 2 at 1:00pm at Rosewood Park Cemetery.
We find comfort knowing Mom’s legacy lives on through the lessons she taught us, the love she gave, and the memories we share; and we cling to God’s enduring promise that we will be reunited with her again.
