My memories of Dawn are nothing but wonderful. She became a great friend to me when she became Wesley's Speech Therapist. Dawn was one of the very few that Wesley loved and worked for. She made such a difference in Wesley's life. Prayers for all of you. Dawn will be missed by all.
Dawn was so kind and generous. I will remember our conversations and how she reached out to me when I needed someone. I didn't know many people when I first moved to Texas, and Dawn welcomed me to her church and became a friend. I always enjoyed talking with her, and I appreciate that she stayed in touch with me after we moved again. I will miss her dearly.

It was my immense privilege to come to know Dawn during my my time as Music Director at First Presbyterian. I directed the handbell choir at St. Andrew and Dawn was a dedicated member of this group . I knew a person soft spoken yet firm, sweet beyond measure and a true lady of the finest integrity.
To my High School Friend , Nathan - I'm blessed to have shared the joy of music with your mother. I know she is proud beyond measure.

My heart breaks and I have tears in my eyes as I think of Dawn’s passing. My deepest condolences go out to Andre, Jessica, Nathan and Aunt Kathrine during this difficult time. After reading many of the condolences and memories dedicated to Dawn it is obvious on what a great dedicated person she was not to only her job but to the many life’s she touched and people she helped. Dawn was a really special lady. My granddaughter Tara Story and I had the privilege of knowing her for two and a half years.
She was Tara's mentor in the Forever Friends program and Tara always looked forward to having lunch with her at school every Thursday.
Dawn was a very caring person, always willing to help others and Tara in any way, so it wasn't any surprise when Tara would call on Dawn to help me with her birthday, Halloween, and Back to School parties.
And of course, Dawn was always there. She was wonderful with children. Tara especially enjoyed the time Dawn took her to the Neal McCoy Concert. We enjoyed having her as a friend and will miss her so much.
Although she is no longer with us, everyone who knew her will have wonderful memories of her to remember.

Dear Family, Andre, Jessica and Nathan.These days have to be long and sad for you. As they have been for my family. Although I knew Nathan and Jessica only through stories related by Dawn during sessions with Wesley. She knew how to "handle" Wesley because he was so much like Nathan. Because of her, our family learned how to handle him, as a newly implated Cochlear 4 year old. Through her love, patience and skills, he is now Sr. in College a hearing, speaking young man. After that we often visited while out shopping I remember that Nathan married.... She was very proud of Jessicas successful career, and children. So much more to say, but, Only that she left all of us, way too soon. What a wonderful legacy you have. May all of you have Courage to pick up the pieces she left for you...She loved you very much. My best to you Andre..Her love and devotion will always be with you. Hold on to the memories forever.
