Funeral services for David Ramsey, 72, of Longview will be held at Ten O?clock am Tuesday October 18, 2005 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel 1617 Judson Road.Burial with full Military Honors will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Ramsey passed away Sunday October 16, 2005 in Waco, Texas.
He was born April 30, 1933 in Iraan, Texas to Heber and Marie Ramsey. He was a retired Staff Sergeant serving twenty years in the U. S. Air Force and lived in Longview since 1987 and was a member of the Mobberly Baptist Church. He was also a past District Area F Commander of the American Legion Post #157.
He is survived by his wife Martha May Ramsey of Longview, children, Nancy Cockrell of Carthage, TX.; Danna Loftin of Waco, TX.; Saundra Ramsey of Atlanta, GA.; two granddaughters, Jennifer Simmons and Julianne Kuhn, great-grandchildren, Austin Simmons and Bailey Simmons and Addey Kuhn, step-children, Sammy May of Lufkin, TX.; Rose Lee of Nacogdoches, TX.; Sue East of Longview, TX.; Gary May of Bossier City, LA.; step-grandchildren, Clayton and Nathan May, Larry Hye, Curtis Russell, Suzanne Estill, Bryan and Brad East, Gary Paul and Kathleen May, Bridgette Oberlander and Sammy May, Jr.step-great-grandchildren, Alexis Estill and Jade East, sister, Lynda Kreybig of Houston, TX.; uncle, Faine Ramsey, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 9:30 until service time.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at Mobberly Baptist Church 625 E. Loop 281 Longview, Texas 75605.
