Brother Randy was the most wonderful Christian I have ever known. Others were always first and he was always last. He sent me many of the old bulletins from Unity (University) Baptist Church, He was the most caring and loving pastor we have every known. Monday morning, even though he had to go to Tyler Pipe and work a labors job to make a living, he always got in personal touch with the members of Unity who were absent on Sunday. Betty was a wonderful person as well, giving her life for Christ on the many mission trips she made as a nurse and moreover a Christian witness. Love you both so much.......See you soon.
This precious servant of God was one of my favorite people. When I was a teenager he gave me advice in the form of letters we traded. I was always so happy to open the mailbox and see that scrawling handwriting. He always typed his letters though so I could read them. I loved to listen to him preach and pray. He was the most sincere, loving, caring, man and his presence will be greatly missed. He was also a “Penney” man. One who likes silence unless something needed to be said. He was stubborn and hardheaded but unselfish and sacrificial. My prayers will be with his family and all those whose lives he was ever a part of.
