The Jameson Family rejoices in the homegoing of their beloved son,father, brother, uncle, and grandfather; David Coleman Jameson. To God Be the Glory…His son now resides in his heavenly home 2 Cor. 5:1-5.
Services for David Jameson, 71, of Longview will be held in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at noon. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Jameson passed away in Longview.
Mr. Jameson was born to John C. and Sarah Jameson on September 15, 1943 in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was a proud Eagle Scout and graduated Longview High School in 1963 and attended East Texas State in Commerce, Texas. He retired from Lebus International in 2009 after 34 years of service, and was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church. He coached his sons in Little League Baseball and Football. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved the outdoors. In his retirement years he enjoyed tournament Sporting Clay Shooting. He especially enjoyed loving his grand-children. He is preceded in death by his father; brother Michael Jameson; niece Rhea Sanders and nephew DeWayne Jameson.
He is survived by his mother Sarah Ruth Jameson; sons and daughters-in-law Jason and Mandy Jameson, Jeff and Katy Jameson, Jonathan and Jennifer Jameson; grandchildren Jordan, Megan, Caleb, Elise, Ben, and Abel Jameson; sisters and brothers-in-law Marj and Les Miller, Frances and Artie Sanders; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 3 to 5 p.m.
