As I have probably told you, my earliest memories of David were as a young child who lived across the street from me. Both my sister and I who were older than David loved having a younger male as a playmate. My life and your family's lives have been woven together for many years. I so enjoyed having David in my life for years. You two were a great couple. May Our Heavenly Father give you an extra measure of His peace and comfort in the days to come.

David meant so much to the Carter family, my father adored Idella! We would go to Holley home in Longview and grandparents home in Shreveport.Large home with 10 white rockers in front porch, hosting family domino tournaments on Sundays. David would be there as well as all our Aunt's and Uncles. We rode horses and until the end, shared stories and memories. He and his wife Anita had a beautiful wedding and we kept in touch over the years. Thank you Anita for your loving care of David over this last year, you are a blessing! David was the best story teller and will always remember his laughter and great detail about family! Rest in peace my friend..all if us cousins love you!

I remember the day that KD and Idella brought David home for the first time. We were all there to welcome him. David and Nita came to my Mardi Gras parties, even when David was not really feeling well. I always ORDERED everyone to stay away from the parking place I had saved for them. David and I would spend hours on the phone. He was so excited when he found his relatives-we were all so happy for him. Loved that man and Nita!! They did love to travel!
