I remember David as being a gentle soul who was eager to like people and eager to be liked. A really fine man.
I am so sad to hear of David's passing. My memory of him was as such kind and gentle soul. He always had a smile and was happy. He and I reminded each other that we shared a few thing in common, Obviously the same first name, same birthdate (to the year), lived on the same street and were in Troop 201 together. (that is me to the left of Greg Abbott in Paul Terrell's photo below.) He is missed. God bless him.

What a wonderful, wacky group of kids we were on Terrace Drive! Brian, Melanie, & family, my heart & prayers are with you as you mourn the earthly loss of your beloved family member. David told me how blessed he was to have such a loving family. You made his life a heaven on earth.

I am so sorry to hear of David's death. I extend my sincerest condolences to his family.
My best memories of David are from Boy Scout Troop 201 in Longview, TX, and also from First Christian Church in the same city, where our families were members for many years.
