I only served under 1sgt for a few months, but i still tell people about how he can stand in front of formation smoking a cigarette and drinking a cup of coffee, and he would still out perform every one of us at PT. God speed brother, may you rest in peace.

Dave began his Army days with me in a little village if Illeshiem, Germany. You could not help but be drawn to Dave because he was always smiling. Great sense of humor and just someone that I enjoyed serving with. Always full of energy and had a hard charging way about him. Dave, you were a great friend and an awesome soldier. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers! Its been an honor.....
