Mr. David Collier's Obituary
Graveside services for David Collier, 76, of Lake Cherokee will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, 18, 2013 at Memory Park with Pastor Tom McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He passed away Saturday, December 14, in a Longview hospital.
Mr. Collier was born October 19, 1937 in Longview to Dale and Grace Collier. He graduated from Longview High School and worked in the family business, Collier Sign Company. Later, he established Collier Auto Sales and then worked in sales for several local auto dealerships. In 1990, he moved to Arizona and moved back to Longview in 2005, and then managed several apartment complexes in Longview and Tyler. Mr. Collier was a veteran of the U. S. Marines.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Diane Collier; sisters, Peggy Wyche and Sandra Rasberry; and his grandson, Dustin Duncan.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Candi Duncan and husband Robbie of Longview, David Collier, II of Longview, Chris Collier of Longview, Vicki Johnson and husband Kevin of Lake Cherokee, Terese Yates and husband Dustin of Houston, Kimberly Ramay of Arizona and Cash Collier of Lake Cherokee; sister, Nancy Moore of White Oak; grandchildren, Darrin, Susannah Claxton and husband Chase, Cassidy, Maci, Misti, Trevor, Trent, Dominick, Drew, Dawson, Ashley, Bridgett, Miles, Brandon and Hunter; great grandchildren, McKennah, Brenan, McKinly, Alaina Blair, Gionni, Lyric and J’Laysia; and several nieces and nephews.
