David Bruyere's Obituary
David Nelson Bruyere, 68 of Longview, Texas, went to be with our Lord April 26, 2008, after a lengthy illness.
Dave was born October 6, 1939 in Gladewater, Texas.
He graduated from Longview High School in 1958. He served our country, which he dearly loved, in the U. S. Army and in 1965 graduated from North Texas State University.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother; a faithful friend and loved by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bolton and Annette Bruyere.
Survivors include his wife Helen of 46 years; one daughter, Suzanne of Longview, Texas; two sons, David Bruyere, Jr. of Longview; Doug Bruyere and wife Susie of Frisco, Texas, two grandchildren, Hunt and Berkley of Frisco, Texas. One sister, Marilyn Brunkhorst and her husband Bob of Dallas, Texas; four brothers, Bolton Bruyere of Snyder, Texas; Tom Bruyere and wife Kathy of Chula Vista, California; Robert Bruyere and wife Blanche of Longview, Texas; Milton Bruyere and wife Kristin of Shreveport, Louisiana. Father-in-law, Leslie Marshall of Longview, Texas, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Tuesday in the Rader funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Schultz officiating with burial following at Rosewood Park. Our family wishes to extend our most sincere thanks to Margaret's House Hospice for their outstanding care and compassion. Memorials may be made to Margaret's House Beaconhill Hospice Foundation.
