To David's family, I just found out today of David's passing. We were suite mates at Texas A&M. I remember those days well. There were three Davids in one suite, Cruising Dave (David Flickinger) California Dave (myself David Goldberg) and Casual Dave (David Brown). If you were there you would of known David was anything but casual. He was always on edge trying to maintain his grade point average so as to ensure his choice of Medical Schools. To this day when I think of David I remember the night we had a heart to heart talk about the balance between one's grades and one's sanity. I'm happy to say David found that balance and went on to have a fabulous life and career. I will miss him and always cherish our time together in and out of college.

Laurie, I just heard of David's passing. I am sending hugs your way. David was such a pleasure to work for and I think about him often. I still call my "me time days" a mental health days! He was such a great person and found time to make everybody feel special. DJ Woods
I know my grief, though great, is only that of a patient who owes my life to the first male psychistrist with whom I felt safe As a patient since May 1995, I grew to love my med checks with him, which were never just the customary 15-20 minutes, and always began and ended with a comforting hug. I call him my "earthly angel" for good reason; I know he was that and more for countless others.
I pray you draw comfort from knowing how much his memory lives, not only in your family, but also with those of us for whom he was that person who brought us back from unspeakable darkness.
I've had the opportunity to work with Dr. Brown as a medical student and a resident, and was inspired by his enthusiasm in teaching and working with children. The news was a shock especially after all of the courageous effort he had put in fighting the illness that ultimately claimed his life. He and his wisdom and insight will be missed.
Laurie, Sarah, Hannah and Aaron,
Our hearts break over the loss of David, but what a wonderful legacy he left to the many lives that he touched. David's courage and determination in the face of overwhelming odds has been an inspiration to each of us who were honored to share a part of that journey with him. I will always treasure the memory of our talks and our lunches together. He was so proud of each of you. He always talked about how blessed he was to have such a wonderful wife and children. David was the perfect example of what God wants from each of us as a spouse, parent, friend, and individual. Know that each of you are in our prayers.
Love to each of you,
Ken, Schuyler, Kailey and Bryce
Me and my daughter are sad to hear of his passing. She was a patient til he became ill. Will always look back with a soft heart because that is how he treated me, sorted hearted.
Dr. Brown was my regular customer at Albertson's Grocery where I work, but he quickly became my friend years ago. I will always remember our visits and how kind-hearted he was. I am very sorry about the loss of this fine man.
It is my prayer that God will bring comfort to this family as only He can do.

So sad to learn of Dr. Brown's passing. The world is a less interesting place without him. I am very grateful to have known him. I will miss our frequent conversations at the gym. I first met Dr. Brown, working as a RN at Meadow Pines hospital. Then as a pharmaceutical rep. The kind of husband and father every man should aspire to be.
