Funeral services for Darleen Hooper Chaplin, 66, of Diana will be held at Two O?clock pm Thursday October 20, 2005 at The Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends David Farmer and Jim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Ashland Cemetery in Diana under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Chaplin passed away Monday October 17, 2005 in a local hospital.
She was born March 2, 1939 in Centralia, Illinois to C.J. and Eileen Hooper. She was employed at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Patient accounts in Longview for twenty five years. She was a Baptist.
She is survived by her husband Mitchell Chaplin of Diana, TX.; children, Rhonda Hand of Waikoloa, Hawaii, Michael and Veronica Hand of McEwen, TN.; step-children, Jose and Ruby Olvera of Longview, TX.; Bill and Beverly Newman of Little Rock, AR.; Robert and Sue Vasquez of Longview, TX.; Ray and Vicki Chaplin of Longview, TX.; Jessie Phelps of Longview, TX.; Michael Chaplin of Longview, TX.; fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Nelson Bates of Longview, TX.; sister-in-law, Jackie Hooper of Camden, TN.; and one niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents C.J. and Eileen Hooper a son Gary Jay Hand and a brother Bob L. Hooper
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday October 19, 2005 from 6:30 pm until 8 pm.
