Danny Hodges' Obituary
Danny Charles Hodges , 62 of Gilmer, Tx has passed away from this life into the arms of Jesus after fighting a battle with Cancer on April 30, 2020. He was born November 6, 1957 in Longview, Tx to Joseph Ralph Sr. & Betty Lou Avery Hodges.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Joseph Ralph Hodges Jr.
Also his precious daughter Kerrie Renee' Hodges.
Left to cherish his memory is his Daughter, Christie & Husband Bob Decker of Henderson. Sisters, Carol Wilson of Washington State, Patricia & Husband Eugene Case. Brother, Robert "Bobby" Hodges of Houston. Along with many neices & nephews. His companion Teena Gilmore, her Children & Grandchildren.
Danny loved the Outdoors. His favorite hobbies were fishing and hunting. His best friend was his brother Joe Hodges. They worked together all their life. They are together again fishing in Heaven! Danny was a Sub Assembly Foreman for Vessel Technology. May 2nd 2020 would have been his 26th Anniversary. He has been in the Welding industry for 42 years. He was known as the "Best Roll Man" Ever! A special thanks from our family to David Powers and all his co-workers otherwise known as his "work family"! Thanks to his caregiver Valerie "Dee Dee" Deutsch. She did an awesome job during the last week of his life. Thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice for their care during this difficult time.
Graveside services for Danny Hodges will be Tuesday, May 5 at Chalk Hill Cemetery at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. There will be a visitation on Monday, May 4 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview between 12 and 5 pm. Please obey social distancing guidelines when coming to pay respects to Mr. Hodges and his family.
