Danna Jean Fowler's Obituary
Longview services celebrating the life of Danna Jean Fowler will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2017 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview with Pastors Carl and Pam Lundberg officiating. Danna went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 30, 2017. Danna was born on September 22, 1943 in Longview to the late Dan and Maxine Wilmoth.
Danna taught various levels of elementary, middle, high school, and college for 38 years. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Stephen F. Austin University. Her true passion was for teaching, for which she continued her education to receive two Master’s Degree one from Abilene Christen University specializing in reading education and the other from Texas University at Tyler in computer sciences. She was working towards her Doctorate Degree before retiring. Her other passion was for animals, often rescuing any dog or horse that needed a home.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Wally Fowler; her son Tom Fowler; her cousins Jerry McNeill, Judy McNeill Morehead, and James Wells.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her aunts and uncles Betty and Glen McNeill: Margie and Roy Wilmoth; Inez and R.V. Wells; Lorene and Pete Kirkland; and cousins Jimmie Thomas and Jon Charles McNeill.
Memorials may be made to the Baytown Humane Society.
