Dana Gonzalez's Obituary
Dana Lynn Gonzalez, age 57, of Longview, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on April 14th, 2023. Dana was born May 18th, 1965, to Linda Galicia in Minden Louisiana. Dana attended Minden High School where she participated in various sports. Years later she moved to Longview Texas where she met and married the love of her life, Antonio Gonzalez. Dana and Antonio had 3 beautiful children, Kelly, Ricardo, and Amanda. Dana was an amazing mother, she adored, loved, and spoiled her kids. She had a great work ethic and was a dedicated cook at Red Lobster in Longview for 25 years. When Dana wasn’t working, she spent her free time actively involved in her grandchildren’s lives. Her grandchildren meant the world to her, she loved being “Grandma”.
Dana is survived by her loving husband, Antonio; daughter, Amanda; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Michael. Grandchildren Tysen and Montanna Pierce, Lexci Pierce, Bailey Kemp, and Kylee Brown. And 1 great granddaughter, Ivy Pierce. Dana’s mother, Linda Galicia; sister and brother-in-law, Rena and Gene Ryan; brother and sister-in-law, James and Lashone McCoy; brother Joey Redding; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Dana is preceded in death by her only son, Ricardo Gonzalez, Mamaw and Papaw Wimberly, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jesus and Nicasia Gonzalez.
Dana was the kind of person that would give a stranger the jacket off her back if need be; she would do absolutely anything in this world for those that she loved.
Her funeral service will be at 2pm, Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Interment will follow at Rosewood Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home the night before, Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 5pm-7pm.
