Dale Lee Wright's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dale Lee Wright. Born on March 29, 1952, in Tulsa, OK, to Herschel and Alice Wright. Dale lived a rich and fulfilling life before peacefully passing away on August 9, 2024, in Longview, TX.
Dale was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Nancy, a loving father to his sons Eric and Mitchell Wright, and a cherished Papa to his five grandchildren. His commitment to his family, paired with his unwavering work ethic, made him a respected man of the community.
Dale met Nancy Foster while working as a lifeguard at a pool in Tulsa, Oklahoma. That meeting led to a lifelong marriage, filled with love and happiness, for 51 years. Dale treasured his family above all else, finding joy and fulfillment in spending time with his loved ones.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University. His education laid the foundation for Dale's successful career, working with XTO Energy as an Oil Field Service Foreman, where his dedication and leadership left a lasting impact on all who knew him. Dale's passion for his work shone through in all that he did, earning him the admiration and respect of his colleagues and peers.
Dale is survived by his loving wife Nancy, son, Eric Wright and wife Allyson, and son Mitchell Wright. Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren, Natalie Wright, Payton Wright, Trenton Wright, Alayna Wright, and Liam Wright as well as numerous other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Hershel Wright.
In honoring Dale's life, a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 19th, at 2:00 pm, at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. This service will be a celebration of Dale's life, filled with fond memories shared by family and friends who were touched by his warmth, kindness, and wisdom.
As we gather to remember Dale, let us cherish the moments we shared, the lessons he imparted, and the love he spread. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him, a reminder of the impact one soul can have on the world.
In this time of sorrow, we remember Dale as a man of great character, whose presence will be deeply missed but whose legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
