Dale LaRon Pruitt's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts but also joyful memories that we celebrate the life of our dear Dale Pruitt, who passed away on August 6, 2025. Born on December 7, 1958, Dale was the cherished baby of 11 children, growing up in Arkansas under the loving care of his parents, Luther and Mattie May. Dale's journey took him to Longview, Texas in the 1980s, where he found his soulmate in Deborah Pruitt. Their 43 wonderful years of love and partnership produced two beautiful daughters, Brittany Mattingly (married to Kirk) and Melany McDaniel (married to Billy), who were truly the apples of his eye.
Dale’s pride and joy grew even larger as he became a beloved "Poppy" to his five fabulous grandchildren: Kayla, Brayden, Kaysen, Hayden, and Kayden. From sweet treats to shooting skills, he created a bond with each of them—there wasn’t a moment that didn’t make him smile or fill his heart with love.
Dale was not only a dedicated family man; he was also the friend everyone wished they had. Known as “The Good Neighbor” at his favorite hangout, New Pier in White Oak, he was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. With 38 fulfilling years at Crosby Lebus, Dale made a lasting impact on everyone he encountered with his warmth and infectious spirit.
His family and friends will forever miss his gift of gab and the way he made everyone feel welcome and loved. To honor Dale's remarkable life, we invite you to join us for a celebration of his life, filled with laughter, stories, and love.
A service celebrating the life of Dale will be held at 2 PM Saturday, August 16, 2025, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Come share your favorite memories, enjoy each other’s company, from 1~2 PM and let's honor Dale with the joy and laughter he brought into all our lives.
Forever cherished and dearly missed, Dale, you will always be in our hearts.
