Dale Hollomon's Obituary
Services for Dale Hollomon , 85, of Longview will be held Saturday, June 25th at 2 PM at the Longview Church of Christ, 1401 Eden Dr. with Robert Johnson and Benny Bristow officiating. Entombment will follow at the Memory Park Mausoleum. Mr. Hollomon died Friday, June 17th at a Longview nursing center.
He was born August 20, 1919 in Blevins, Arkansas to Oda and Ruby Peyton Hollomon.
Dale moved to Longview from Arlington, Texas in 1958. He was a building maintenance engineer for the First National Bank of Longview and also for the Texas Commerce Bank. Dale was an active member of the Longview Church of Christ and was a veteran of World War II having served with the Army Air Corps.
He is survived by his son, Danny Hollomon of Longview; a son and daughter-in-law, James L. and Jayne Hollomon of Carrollton; grandchildren: Michelle Vinson, Sean, Michael, Kevin, Mark and Jeffrey Hollomon; great-grandchildren: Tanner, Tyler, and Garrett Vinson; a sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Carl Appelt of Houston; a sister, Inez Jamail of Longview and a sister-in-law, Merlene Hollomon of Harleton. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Oda and Ruby Hollomon; his wife, Joan Hollomon, a brother, James D. Hollomon, and sister, Virginia Godwin.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Friday evening 6 to 8 PM.
