Dale Eugene Booth's Obituary
Graveside services for Dale Eugene Booth, 80, of Lake Cherokee, formerly of Rural Augusta, Kansas will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, April 17, at Rosewood Park Mausoleum with Reverend Brent Ellis officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Booth died Friday, April 13 in Sulphur Springs, Texas from injuries received in an automobile accident. A register book may be signed at the funeral home.
Dale was born on October 28, 1926 in Hamilton, Kansas to John A. and Pearl Bohard Booth. He proudly served his country during WWII as a Sergeant in the United States Army. He retired from Oxy Petroleum after 37 ½ years of service and was a member of Chalk Hill Community Church. Dale loved to hunt, fish, camp and just being in the woods bird watching. He was an accomplished welder and artist. He loved to make beautiful bird houses and yard art.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Herman Booth of Eldorado, KS, and Jarrod Booth of Wichita, KS.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy and their devoted doggy companion ?Coke?; four daughters and sons-in-law: Keryl and Mike Kalb of Fall River, KS, Dana and Gene Bond of Lake Cherokee and Las Vegas, NV, Janice and Charles McAntyre of Longview, and Crystal and Keith Lloyd of Longview; two sisters: Marie Wilson of Eldorado, KS, and Karen Jane Jarrett of Mountain Grove, MO; He was also Grandpa to nine grandchildren: Collen, Courtney and Christopher Bond, Lexy and Greg Kearns, and Madison, Austin and Reagan Lloyd.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer?s Association, 3613 S. Broadway, Tyler, TX. 75701. Mr. Booth will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
