Cynthia Clifton Read
Memorial services for Cynthia Clifton Read, 37, will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church, Longview with the Reverend David Lindwall officiating. Burial will be at Rosewood Park under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She died suddenly at her home May 30, 2009.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Cindy was born in Lubbock, Texas, November 19, 1971, and moved to Longview in 1972. She was a graduate of Longview High School, Texas A & M University and U T Tyler. She was employed by the Kilgore Independent School District as an educational diagnostician where she loved her special needs students. She had a real gift for working with them.
She married her precious Ken Read on March 14, 1997, and he survives her passing.
Other survivors are her mother, Pat Clifton; sisters, Rachel Geist, Emily Clifton and husband Dan Nees; nieces, Ryne Read and Libby Nees; nephews, Stephen and Jacob Geist as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by Ken's family who loved her very much and a group of very close friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. H P Clifton.
