Curtis Wayne Webb's Obituary
Services for Curtis Wayne Webb, 55, of Longview, will be held at 2 PM Saturday, November 15, 2003 in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel, 1617 Judson Rd., Longview, TX. He passed away Thursday, November 13, 2003 following a lengthy illness. Interment will follow in Grace Hill Cemetery. Curt was born to Norman E. and Alice Marie Williams Webb on January 11, 1948 in Longview, TX. Mr. Webb was a retired cattle rancher and formerly a salesman in the oil business for many years. Curt was an avid fisherman, an accomplished golfer, and a former athlete. He graduated from Spring Hill High School where he played basketball; received a college scholarship for music; attended Kilgore College and coached softball for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Curt is survived by his loving wife, mary K. McGee, MD of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffry Scott & Stephanie Webb; daughter, Jennifer Webb; grandson, Mason Webb; sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Jerry Carter, all of Longview; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Walter "Sonny" Teaff of Florence Alabama and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and a great nephew. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Friday, November 14 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and the National Kidney Foundation. Special appreciation goes to all of Curt's doctors, nurses, aides, sitters, therapists, social workers, case managers, and all those who contributed to his case throughout his illness at Good Shepherd Medical Center and Semper Care.
