Curtis Allen Appleby's Obituary
Memorial graveside services for Curtis Allen Appleby, 78, of Longview will be held 10 AM Saturday, September 6, 2003 at the Elderville Cemetery with the Pine Tree Masonic Lodge #1392 conducting the services. Cremation was arranged by Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Born March 2, 1925 in Louisville, Kentucky, he was a longtime Longview resident. He was retired from the Cabel?s Dairy Corporation. He was a United States Marine Veteran of World War II. Mr. Appleby was a member of the Spring Hill First Baptist Church, where he had been an usher for over 15 years. He was a member of the Pine Tree Masonic Lodge #1396, Waco Scottish Rite Bodies, Longview York Rite, Pine Tree Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, The Sharon Temple Shriners and a former secretary of the Gregg County Shrine. He is survived by his wife, Janice Varner Appleby; children: Joe Appleby of Longview, Kathryn Holy of Norfolk, VA., Annetta Prins and husband, Dui of Mountain View, AR and Curtis Appleby, Jr.; Step Children, James Varner and wife, Donna of Longview, Rita Nicholson and husband, Bill of Bossier City, LA and Dana Varner of Gilmer; Sisters, June Langston and Ann Jackson both of Louisville, KY, Naomi Pool of San Antonio, TX, Jackie Morkay of St. Lucie, FL, and Joyce Denison of Ft.
