Cory Moraw's Obituary
Cory Moraw went home to be with our Heavenly Father on April 5, 2015. Cory was born on January 10, 1986 and he will forever be in our hearts. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Tatum United Methodist Church with Dr. David Banks officiating with burial following in Tatum Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
Cory graduated from Tatum High School in 2005. For anyone that knew Cory, he was a Tatum Eagle fan all the way no matter the sport or extracurricular activity. Cory loved sports, cheering, drill team, and dancing. He was a huge supporter of the Bobcat Belles, Kilgore College Rangerettes, Houston Astros, Texans, and Rockets, and Texas A&M. He was also a huge fan of Britney Spears and was honored to meet her. Cory loved his youth group at Longview Metro and was always trying to live his life for God. He was a shining example of how to live life to the fullest no matter you circumstances. He fought a hard fight with courage and dignity. Cory reached for the sky and went to be with Jesus on Easter morning at 8:30 AM. There was dancing in the heavens as Cory saw his precious sister and all the Tatum Angles that have gone on before him. “I could not have asked for a better son!” ~ Janet
He was preceded in death by his older sister, Kasey Jo Moraw.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother and step father, Janet and Allen (Sugarlips) Russom; father and step mother Ray and Darla Moraw; stepsisters Erica Russom, Jennifer Sanders, and Jessica Albert; stepbrother JW Johnson; maternal grandparents Ralph and Virginia (Granny) Visscher and paternal grandparents Charles and Pat Moraw; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many special friends.
