Clyde Aubrey Bunt
LONGVIEW — Services for Clyde Aubrey Bunt, of Hallsville, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Longview, with Barney Bunt and Joe Hancock officiating. Interment will follow in a family plot in Noonday Cemetery. Mr. Bunt passed away October 11, 2011.
Mr. Bunt was born July 19, 1926, to Felton and Lura Williams Bunt. He married his childhood sweetheart, Betty Robinson, on July 23, 1949. He was in the trucking business starting at an early age. He also contracted work for Rex Tex Equipment for more than 20 years, moving Army surplus cross country. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Hallsville.
Mr. Bunt was preceded in death by his parents; his two sons, David Clyde Bunt and Mark Robinson Bunt; and sister, Elinor Russ.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty; sister, Mary Henley; nephew, Kenn Huffman; nieces, Carol Coppedge, Donna Clark, Tami Kosel, Tena Wengender; and his wife's nephews and nieces, Ray and Ann Gearhart, Ronnie and Candy McBride and Ben and Druci McBride.
Pallbearers will be Kenn Huffman, Richard Clark, Jerry Ray, Faron Cain, Jarrod Ray, Joe Dorsey, Ben McBride and Ronnie McBride. Honorary pallbearer will be Wendell Ross.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today, October 12, 2011, at Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Newkirk; Dr. Martin; Dr. Earnest; and Mandy Hopkins and Mari of Alcolade Home Health for the care given Mr. Bunt.
