Clera Mae Hays' Obituary
Graveside services for Clera Mae Hays, 100, of Henderson, are set for 2:00 PM Saturday, February 14, 2009, at the Zion Hill Cemetery with Revs. Bill Kuykendall and Frank Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mrs. Hays died Thursday, February 12, 2009, at Henderson Memorial Hospital.
She was born September 26, 1908 in Minden, Texas, to John Jackson and Mattie Armstrong. She worked as a nurse and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hays was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George Hays, grandson Timmy Hays, and son-in-law Horace Allen Jones.
Surviving is her son, Billie Gene Hays and wife Nell of Henderson; daughter, Barbara Gail Jones of Henderson; grandsons, Gene Allen Jones of Jefferson, Ricky Lynn Jones of Laneville, Jerry Dewayne Jones of Laneville; granddaughter, Julie Hays of Round Rock; seven great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
