Clella Adams Leath
Funeral services for Clella Adams Leath of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2005 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road, with Dr. Rick Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Elderville Cemetery. Mrs. Leath was born to Samuel E. Adams and Daisy Mae Gibson Adams of Elderville on July 25, 1910. She went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 13, 2005, from a Longview hospital. She was a longtime member of Pine Tree Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Leath was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years, Oscar Leath, Sr,; her parents; her brothers, and sisters, Clara Adams Oliver, Beatrice Adams Jones, Mitchell Adams, Samuel Adams, and Henry Adams.
She is survived by her sons and their wives, Oscar, Jr. and Madelyn Leath, and Robert and Mary Jo Leath of Longview. She was ?Mimi? to her grandchildren, Karen Leath Sewell of Richardson, Dr. Mike Leath of Houston, David Leath of Dallas, Ricky Leath of Houston, and the her great grandchildren, Chelsea Leath, Samuel Sewell, Alex Leath, Garrett Leath, and Mary Leath.
Mrs. Leath was a homemaker, worked in the cafeteria at the Pine Tree Schools, and worked a number of years for Perkins Brothers. She took great pleasure in having all of her family in her home for her delicious meals.
Prior to Mrs. Leath?s residency at Highland Pines Nursing Home, she was a resident at Buckner Westminster Place for eight years. She made many friends while there and enjoyed the wonderful fellowship. While living there, she was able to continue to be a neighbor to her special friend, Stella Harper.
The family will recieve friends from 4 to 6 PM Monday, February 14, 2005 at the Funeral Home.
