Funeral services for Claude Leon Still, 72, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2009 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend James Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park. He passed away Tuesday, September 29, at Margaret's House in Longview.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Still was born March 14, 1937 in Overton, TX to Claude Cleveland and Lora Belle Still. He was a lifetime resident of Longview area and was retired from Texas Eastman. He was a member of the Cherokee Baptist Church in Gilmer.
Mr. Still was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Debbie Simmons of Longview and Diane White and husband Weldon of Ft. Worth; grandsons, Brandon Dunaway of Burleson, TX, Justin West and wife Paula of Ore City, and Cody Soto of Ft. Worth; great grandchildren, Emerson West of Ore City, Logan Soto and Ayden Soto of Ft. Worth; sisters, Mildred Bradbury of Tyler, Florence Lyons and Marie Thomas of Longview, Sue Johns of Mineola, and Shirley Smith of Longview.
